SeamStress, 2011, Sizes Variable, Embroidery on Linen.
SeamStress aims to deconstruct a familiar space, from photographs taken around Beirut. These are printed onto linen and carefully embellished with colourful embroidery thread. Each passing of the thread fills an evident void, all the while highlighting such cracks, bullet holes and fissures.
